On July 9, Yen Bai Ward Police (Lao Cai province) said that the unit had just coordinated to return property to a citizen who had lost it after receiving it from a citizen with a beautiful and honest action.
Previously, at about 10:45 am on July 8, while moving from the Yen Bai Ga market area to the gate of Ly Thuong Kiet High School, Mr. Tran Minh Tuan (born 1983, residing in Dong Hao village, Luong Thinh commune, Lao Cai province) discovered a black leather wallet dropped on the roadside.
Checking inside, Mr. Tuan saw many personal papers in the name of Mr. Le Van Tam and 10,047,000 VND in cash.
Without hesitation, Mr. Tuan brought all his assets to the Yen Bai Ward Police headquarters to report, asking functional forces to verify and find the lost person.
Immediately after receiving the information, Yen Bai Ward Police urgently checked the information on the documents and quickly contacted the owner, Mr. Le Van Tam (born 1983, residing in hamlet 1, Viet Cuong commune, Lao Cai province).

After completing the verification procedures, the police force returned the wallet intact along with all papers and the amount of more than 10 million VND to Mr. Tam.
Receiving his property back, Mr. Le Van Tam expressed his emotion and thanked Mr. Tran Minh Tuan as well as Yen Bai Ward Police for quickly supporting the search for the lost property.
According to Yen Bai Ward Police, Mr. Tran Minh Tuan's action is a beautiful gesture, showing the spirit of honesty, responsibility and community awareness. Proactively handing over the found property not only helps the person who dropped it receive the property back soon but also contributes to spreading human values and building a civilized lifestyle in society.
