On April 1st, functional agencies of Gia Lai province implemented solutions to accelerate the construction progress of 7 schools in border areas.
In which, Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee requested that along with construction work, special attention should be paid to preserving traditional culture and stabilizing teachers' lives. This is considered a long-term direction, both preserving national identity and creating a sustainable development foundation for the border area.
According to the direction, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presides over and coordinates with the Department of Education and Training to organize activities to preserve and promote traditional cultural values among students. The key content is to bring intangible cultural heritages, especially the gong cultural space that has been recognized by UNESCO, into schools in many appropriate forms.
Teaching gongs not only helps students understand more deeply about their national culture but also contributes to arousing pride and awareness of preserving heritage in the younger generation.
Along with the task of cultural preservation, the province also pays attention to the lives of teachers working in border communes. People's Committees of Ia Dom, Ia Nan, Ia Pnôn, Ia O, Ia Chia, Ia Mơ, Ia Púch communes are required to urgently review planning and allocate residential land funds for teachers far from home who have needs.
Land locations are prioritized for selection in favorable areas, helping teachers stabilize their lives, feel secure in their long-term work, thereby contributing to keeping teachers attached to difficult areas.
Green tree planting is also being implemented urgently soon, ensuring investment progress, and creating a green landscape and shade when the school goes into operation.
The Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School project in 7 border communes is identified as a key project, with profound political and humanistic significance.
The project not only improves the quality of education but also contributes to socio-economic development in the border area. Gia Lai requires the project to ensure completion and put the project into use before July 30, 2026.
