On June 22, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that A Mu Sung Commune Police had discovered and arrested Ly A Vu (born in 1970, residing in Nam Giang 2 village, A Mu Sung commune) to investigate the act of illegal drug trading.
Previously, implementing a peak period of attacking and suppressing drug crimes, A Mu Sung Commune Police proactively grasped the local situation, strengthened patrols, controls and synchronously deployed professional measures to detect and handle violations of the law related to drugs.
At about 5 am on June 17, in Nam Giang 2 village, A Mu Sung Commune Police presided over and coordinated with Task Force 373 of Lao Cai Provincial Police to inspect and discover Ly A Vu showing suspicious signs related to illegal drug trading activities.
Conducting an inspection, functional forces caught the subject red-handed in the act of illegally trading drugs. At the scene, the task force seized 1 package of white powder. The examination results determined that this was heroin, with a weight of 0.353 grams and some related exhibits.
At the police station, Ly A Vu confessed to the crime. A Mu Sung Commune Police made a record of arresting the offender red-handed, sealed the exhibits and completed the procedures according to regulations.
Authorized by the Head of the Investigation Police Agency, Intermediate Investigator, Deputy Head of A Mu Sung Commune Police issued a decision to temporarily detain Ly A Vu for investigation purposes.
The Investigation Police Agency of Lao Cai Provincial Police continues to consolidate the file, expand the investigation, and handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, in the past time, A Mu Sung Commune Police have proactively advised local Party committees and authorities to implement many solutions to prevent and combat crime and drug evils; strengthened local management, subject management and promoted propaganda and mobilization of people to participate in the "All people protect national security" movement.
Through the case, the Police agency recommends that people raise their awareness of law compliance, not participate or assist in the acts of buying, selling, storing, transporting, and illegally using drugs; and at the same time actively report violations to functional agencies for timely detection and handling, contributing to building a safe and healthy area.
