On the afternoon of November 21, Dak Dang Border Post, Dak Nong Provincial Border Guard (BDBP) held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the unit's traditional day (November 23, 2004 - November 23, 2024).
Dak Dang Border Guard Station is located in Quang Truc commune (Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong), with the task of managing and protecting a border section of more than 12 km long, with 2 auxiliary markers and 1 marker post, adjacent to Dak Dam commune (O Rang district, Mondulkiri province, Kingdom of Cambodia).
After 20 years of building, fighting and growing up, with the spirit of self-reliance and determination, officers and soldiers of Dak Dang Border Guard Station have united, worked together, and promoted the glorious tradition of the Border Guard force.
Officers and soldiers are determined and persistent in sticking to the border, area and unit; overcoming all difficulties, hardships and challenges, firmly grasping policies and strategies, flexibly and creatively applying border work measures, arranging and using forces appropriately, handling well all situations that arise, and firmly managing and protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.
Along with the task of firmly protecting territorial sovereignty and border security, Dak Dang Border Guard Station closely coordinates with district departments, unions and local authorities to do a good job of advising, consolidating political bases, mobilizing the masses, and propagating the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
The Border Guard Station also implements many programs and models to help people develop their economy such as: Border Guard Station's adopted child (1 child); Helping children go to school (4 children); Military officers and soldiers helping children go to school (34 children).
Program to accompany women in border areas; Rotating breeding cows… help people with thousands of working days.
With the achievements over the past 20 years, officers and soldiers of Dak Dang Border Guard Station were awarded 2 certificates of merit by the Minister of National Defense, 1 certificate of merit by the Border Guard High Command, and 1 certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee.
In 2015, 2016, 2022, 2023, Dak Dang Border Guard Station achieved the title of Determined to Win unit; along with many certificates of merit from the District People's Committee and provincial departments and branches awarded to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing their tasks.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Bui Duc Chinh - Deputy Political Commissar of Dak Nong Provincial Border Guard - affirmed that officers and soldiers of Dak Dang Border Guard Station have overcome many difficulties and hardships.
To achieve the above achievements, officers and soldiers have always been intelligent and creative in their work, striving to excellently complete their tasks with the spirit of "The station is home, the border is homeland, and the people of all ethnic groups are blood brothers".
