Welcoming the success of the 14th Party Congress and welcoming the 2026 Binh Ngo Spring, Sam Mun Commune People's Committee in coordination with Tay Trang International Border Gate Border Guard Station (Dien Bien province) organized the "All-People Border Defense Day" and the program "Border Spring Warms the Hearts of Villagers".
According to Mr. Pham Thiet Chuy - Chairman of Sam Mun Commune People's Committee, after 10 years of implementation, the movement of the entire people participating in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security has created a profound change in the awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, armed forces and local people.

“Not only stopping at awareness, the people of Sam Mun commune have become living milestones, actively coordinating with the Border Guard force in patrolling and managing border lines and border markers” - Mr. Chuy added.
At the program, officers, soldiers and people of ethnic groups in Sam Mum commune enthusiastically participated in the festival with many exciting sports activities, imbued with national identity such as: tug-of-war, stick pushing... creating a joyful atmosphere, solidarity, tightening military-civilian relations in the border area.

The cheers and encouragements not only created a joyful atmosphere to welcome the Binh Ngo Tet, but also strengthened the close bond between "the army and the people like fish and water".
Leaders of Sam Mun Commune People's Committee said that the concern of the Party, State and Border Guard forces through programs like this is a great source of encouragement, helping people feel secure in sticking to the village, keeping the land, and firmly protecting border sovereignty with the soldiers.
On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard Command and Sam Mun Commune People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 7 typical individuals with outstanding achievements in implementation.

Agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists also presented Tet gifts to 3 students who are "Children of the Border Guard Station" and 120 policy families, poor households, and typical families in participating in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.

It is known that, implementing the direction of the Border Guard Command, the "Border Spring Warms the Hearts of the People" program in 2026 is being widely deployed across the country's borders.
It is expected that during the Binh Ngo Tet holiday, the entire Border Guard force will give over 10,000 "Border Spring" gifts, 3,000 "Leaving Children to School" scholarships, 500 breeding cows, 200 "Border Warm Houses" houses and organize medical examination and treatment for 15,000 people...
Sam Mun commune was established on the basis of merging 2 communes Na U and Pom Lot. This is a commune (border with Laos) with more than 8,100 people, with a natural area of over 156 km2, including 20 villages/villages.
