On September 5, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City - and the working delegation attended the opening ceremony of the 2026-2027 school year at Ba Ria - Vung Tau Ethnic Minority Boarding School (Kim Long commune, Ho Chi Minh City).
Here, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc and leaders of the Department of Education and Training, Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions presented fresh flower baskets to congratulate the school on the opening day.
At the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City also organized the awarding of 30 Nguyen Huu Tho scholarships to students of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Ethnic Minority Boarding School.

As a special educational institution, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Ethnic Minority Boarding School was established in 1993, has a long tradition and plays an important role in training human resources for ethnic minorities in the locality. In the 2026-2027 school year, the whole school has a total of 390 students, including 198 secondary school students and 192 high school students.
Implementing the program to launch tree planting at educational institutions in the 2026-2027 school year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City awarded the "Great Unity Tree Garden" project to Ba Ria - Vung Tau Ethnic Minority Boarding School. At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc and the working delegation, teachers and students together planted 24 green trees in the school grounds.
