Planting more than 5,000 trees in the border area of Dak Lak province

Dak Lak - The border area of Krong Na commune, Buon Don district has been planted with more than 5,000 trees by the authorities.

On May 17, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment to organize a tree planting launching ceremony at the Training - Mobile Battalion (Krong Na commune, Buon Don district).

The activity also aims to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025) and respond to the program "For a Green Border".

At the ceremony, the two units coordinated to plant more than 5,000 trees. Including plants such as acacia,prince, star fruit, incense sticks... at the battalion's training center.

This is a meaningful activity, contributing to improving the ecological environment, preventing natural disasters and creating a green, clean and beautiful landscape in the border area.

Colonel Dao Viet Hung, Commander of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, said: "In recent years, the unit has actively organized many tree planting activities. Thereby, contributing to environmental protection and gradually becoming a cultural beauty. The spiritual life of officers, soldiers and people in the border area is increasingly improved".

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Huan - Director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment, the coordination between the two units will contribute to minimizing the impact of climate change, preventing natural disasters and greening vacant lands in the locality.

The program is an activity within the working coordination regulations between the department and the border guards in implementing the task of combining economic and social development associated with ensuring national defense and security in the period of 2025-2030.
