In Tan Hung commune, Tay Ninh province, the Naval Technical College has just coordinated with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, Gia Dinh People's Hospital and VISI Eye Hospital to organize a propaganda program about the sea and islands combined with medical examination, consultation, and free medicine distribution for people, according to information from the Navy Command.

Attending the program were Senior Lieutenant Colonel Pham Duc Loi - Deputy Political Commissar of the school; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Oanh - Provincial Party Committee Member, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee; leaders of Gia Dinh People's Hospital and VISI Eye Hospital, leaders of Tan Hung commune and a large number of people and students in the area.

The program aims to raise awareness of officials and people about the strategic position and role of the sea and islands in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland; and at the same time introduce the tradition of the Navy and the activities of naval troops in sea and island areas.

In one day, the working delegation propagated to nearly 300 officials, party members, union members, youth and students; provided medical examinations, consultations, and free medicine distribution to more than 400 people, contributing to taking care of people's health, especially families in difficult circumstances, policy families, and strengthening military-civilian solidarity.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Oanh affirmed that the coordination activities between units have brought a lot of useful information about the sea and islands and the activities of the navy, and at the same time contributed to taking care of people's health, tightening the bond between the navy and local people.
On this occasion, the organizing committee presented 30 gifts to policy families, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and more than 400 free gifts and medicines for people. The working delegation also came to offer incense and ring bells to express gratitude to heroic martyrs at the National Historical Relic Area of Long Khot Fort.
