According to the e-Portal of Lam Dong Provincial Police, after implementing the arrangement and merger of villages according to Resolution No. 13/NQ-HDND dated June 18, 2026 of the People's Council of Cat Tien commune (Lam Dong province), the administrative boundaries in the commune have changed a lot.
Besides the advantages in streamlining the apparatus and focusing resources on socio-economic development, the new area also sets higher requirements in management and maintaining security and order.
After the merger, the natural area, population size and intertwined population composition in the villages in Cat Tien commune all increased, requiring consolidation of forces to stick to the area in order to promptly grasp the situation and maintain security and order.
Immediately after stabilizing the administrative organization, Cat Tien Commune People's Committee issued a Decision to establish and recognize personnel for 9 Security and Order Protection Teams in 9 villages after arrangement. A total of 69 comrades participating in the security and order protection force at the grassroots level were quickly assigned and recognized for specific titles, ready to perform tasks in the new area.

The security and order protection force at the grassroots level continues to be a force closely coordinating with Cat Tien Commune Police in grasping the situation, propagating, mobilizing people, detecting and mediating arising conflicts, contributing to preventing and stopping cases right from the grassroots level.
Many members are people who have lived in the locality for many years, understanding the area and the lives of each household.
The participation of core members in ethnic minorities such as Mr. Dieu K'Ren, K'Minh Tuyt in Village 2 contributes to strengthening propaganda and mobilization of people to comply with the Party's guidelines, policies, laws of the State and participate in protecting security and order.
To facilitate coordination, groups of Nam Ninh, My Lam, Quang Ngai, Tu Nghia villages work at the old Quang Ngai Commune Police headquarters; groups of Village 1, Village 2, Village 3, Village 4, Village 5 work at the new Cat Tien Commune Police headquarters. This arrangement creates favorable conditions for patrol activities and mutual support when situations arise.
According to Cat Tien Commune People's Committee, although the initial phase of operation according to the new model still has difficulties in the area of responsibility and coordination methods, the security and order protection force at the grassroots level has quickly stabilized its organization, ready to perform tasks. The consolidation of 9 groups after the merger contributes to improving the efficiency of local management, maintaining security and order, and creating a foundation for local socio-economic development.
