On November 14, in Hon Dat commune, the Steering Committee for " Military People's Tet" activities of An Giang province held a launching ceremony to carry out activities to celebrate Chol Cham Thmay.
With the theme "An Giang Military People celebrate Chol Chanh Thmay in 2026", the "Military People's Tet" program in Hon Dat commune will take place from November 14, 2025 to April 10, 2026. Many practical activities such as: Propagating the celebration of major holidays and important political events; propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; building and giving houses to Khmer people in difficult circumstances; examining and providing medicine; giving gifts to policy families, poor and near-poor households, militia forces, reserve forces; organizing cultural, artistic and sports exchange activities and folk games.
Colonel Cao Minh Tam - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee of the "Vietnam Military-Civilian Tet" activities of An Giang province - said: In recent years, the Military-Civilian Tet activities have always received deep attention from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; the contributions of departments, branches, sectors, unions, enterprises and benefactors inside and outside the province to the people in the revolutionary base, ethnic minority areas, remote areas.
Thereby contributing to the local Party Committee and government in caring for and improving the lives of households in difficult circumstances, especially helping people have a warm and happy Tet without leaving anyone behind during the common happy days of the nation. The activities of the Program also support the removal of difficulties, change the face of rural areas, complete and improve the quality of new rural and advanced new rural criteria in the implementation areas.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Military-Civilian Steering Committee presented a symbolic board of support for the construction of 40 houses to the People's Committee of Hon Dat commune; the Provincial Association of victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin presented 30 gifts and 30 scholarships to poor Khmer children who overcame difficulties and studied well in Hon Dat commune.
