On June 23, the Steering Committee for Tet activities of the Kien Giang Provincial People's Army held a launching ceremony to carry out activities in 2026.
The 2026 Military-Civilian Tet with the theme "Kien Giang Armed Forces together with the Party Committee, government and people of Hoa Dien commune, Kien Luong district continue to join hands to build new rural areas" will be held from June 23, 2025 to February 6, 2026.
Many propaganda and dissemination activities are associated with social security work, caring for people's lives such as: building 48 houses for subjects; building 4 rural traffic bridges; 2 lighting projects on rural roads; 2 flower roads; upgrading and repairing rural roads; organizing medical examinations, providing free medicine to 1,000 people; giving nearly 1,000 gifts to poor households, near-poor households and students who overcome difficulties to study well in Hoa Dien commune; Supporting the provision of 10 computers, connecting to the internet...
The Provincial Women's Union in coordination with the Provincial Labor Federation organized a contest to wrap, cook banh tet, and decorate fruit trays; The Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion in coordination with departments, the People's Committee of Hoa Dien commune organized a tourism promotion exhibition, introduced export products, OCOP products, and typical products of Kien Giang; The Military Command of Hoa Dien commune organized an exhibition of images of socio-economic achievements, activities of the armed forces...
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho emphasized: This is an activity not only of profound human values but also a vivid symbol of the close solidarity between the army and the people, the precious tradition that has created the miraculous power of the Vietnamese revolution. The Military-Civilian Tet is not only to bring material things but also to bring the warmth of humanity and spring.
In each part of work, in each drop of sweat of officers and soldiers is a message of confidence, even in difficulty, our people still have a Party with government, a union, and an armed force that always accompanies and stands side by side. That is the unanimous belief that it is the strength of a nation that knows how to love in difficulty, knows how to hold hands to overcome challenges, to affirm that this is not a regular annual activity, but also a journey of humanity, of compatriotism, of close military and people's affection," Mr. Le Trung Ho emphasized.
At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 10 scholarships to poor students who overcame difficulties and studied well; started construction of a solidarity house for poor households in Hoa Dien commune.
