As reported by Lao Dong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to build a Boarding School for Primary and Secondary Schools in Tay Giang - a mountainous commune bordering Laos in the west, about 120 km west of Da Nang city center.
Tay Giang commune was established after merging 4 old communes including Lang, Atieng, Anong and Dang, with an area of over 400km2, including 23 villages, 2,329 households with over 9,000 people. Currently, the locality has 9 kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools with 30 locations, serving more than 2,500 students.
The investment in building a boarding and semi-boarding school in Tay Giang commune is of special significance, contributing to the implementation of ethnic policies, improving people's knowledge, developing on-site human resources, creating better learning conditions for children of people in border areas, thereby strengthening national defense, security and promoting socio-economic development in mountainous areas of Da Nang.
At the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that our Party and State identify education and training as the top national policy; focus on investing in improving people's knowledge, training human resources, fostering talents, and developing the education - training system from preschool to university.
