On April 20, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police had just verified and made a record of violation against a driver for driving a car in the opposite direction on National Highway 1A (section passing through Quang Trung ward, Thanh Hoa province).
Previously, through people's reflections, a car with license plate 36C-348. xx had violated traffic order and safety when going against traffic on National Highway 1A (section through Quang Trung ward). Immediately after that, Quang Xuong Traffic Police Station urgently organized verification and clarification.
Through verification, the traffic police force identified the vehicle driver as Mr. Q.V. L. (born 1971, residing in Cam Tu commune, Thanh Hoa province). Mr. L. drove a car with license plate 36C-348. xx in the opposite direction on a one-way street.
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, based on the provisions of point d, clause 9, Article 6 of Decree No. 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government, the act of driving a vehicle in the opposite direction on a one-way road or in the opposite direction on a road with a "No reversing" sign is fined from 18 million VND to 20 million VND, and at the same time 4 points from the driver's license are deducted.
Currently, the case is being completed by Thanh Hoa traffic police forces to handle according to regulations.
