On May 22, on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday in the 2570s Buddhist calendar and the anniversary of the birth of Buddha Shakyamuni, Minh Giac Pagoda coordinated with a business to organize a program to hand over houses of gratitude and give gifts to households in difficult circumstances in Ham Tan commune, Lam Dong province.
The program aims to spread the spirit of compassion and love of Buddhism, contributing to caring for the lives of people in difficult circumstances in the locality.
The delegation was led by Venerable Thich Giac Tri; also attending were Venerable Thich Dong Quang, Venerable Thich Phap An, Buddhists and philanthropists.
During the trip, the delegation visited, encouraged and held a ceremony to hand over a house of gratitude to the family of Mrs. Tran Thi Huong (resident of hamlet 6, Ham Tan commune). It is known that Mrs. Huong's family is in difficult circumstances in the locality, with 4 people; she is currently over 70 years old and suffered from a stroke, so her life is still very deprived.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ham Tan commune and local authorities attended, acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the spirit of sharing and accompanying the community of dignitaries and the charity delegation.
On this occasion, the delegation also presented many essential gifts to households in difficult circumstances in the commune.
