Implementing Resolution No. 203/2019/NQ-HDND dated July 30, 2019 of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council stipulating the level of gifts to wish longevity and celebrate longevity for the elderly, the Quang Ninh Department of Health has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Decision No. 117/QD-UBND dated January 12, 2026 on wishing longevity and celebrating longevity for the elderly on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
According to the Decision, this year's Lunar New Year, the whole province has 2,318 elderly people wishing longevity, celebrating longevity and receiving gifts from the province.
Specifically, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will wish longevity and give gifts to 301 people aged 101 and over (objects worth 200,000 VND and 1,500,000 VND in cash); 564 people turning 95 years old (objects worth 200,000 VND and 1,000,000 VND in cash); 1,453 people turning 90 years old (objects worth 200,000 VND and 1,000,000 VND in cash).
In addition, the Provincial People's Committee submitted to the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to present longevity cards to 128 people turning 100 years old. Each person received gifts including artifacts worth 200,000 VND, 1,500,000 VND in cash and 5 meters of silk according to regulations.
For elderly people aged 85, 80, 75 and 70, longevity wishes and longevity celebrations are carried out by the Chairman of the Commune-level People's Committee. The gift level includes: people aged 85 and 80 receive items worth 200,000 VND and 700,000 VND in cash; people aged 75 and 70 receive items worth 200,000 VND and 500,000 VND in cash.
The longevity celebration activities for the elderly are an important content in caring for, protecting and promoting the role of the elderly, showing the concern of the Party, State and local authorities for the elderly, especially during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation.
