On July 25, Van Phu Ward People's Committee (Lao Cai province) said that the Ward Veterans Association (CCB) had just awarded livelihoods to members in difficult circumstances, contributing to helping families stabilize their lives and develop the economy.
The activity took place on July 24, organized by the Executive Committee of the Ward Veterans Association in coordination with the Party Cell of Residential Group No. 15 according to Conclusion No. 140-KL/DU of the Ward Party Committee on deploying tasks for 2026.
The support package is for CCB member Doan Van Chi, who is a poor household.
Attending the program were leaders of the Ward Veterans Association, Party Committee of Residential Group No. 15, Veterans Association Branch and member families.
From the "Comradeship Affection" Fund and socialized sources, the Ward Veterans Association donated 3 breeding pigs, with a total value of 5.1 million VND.
This livelihood model is suitable for the farming conditions of families, creating additional income in the coming time.
Representatives of the Ward Veterans Association said that supporting poor and near-poor members is one of the tasks that the Association maintains regularly.
Besides material support, the activity is also a source of encouragement for members to strive to develop the economy and stabilize their lives.
The Association also hopes that Mr. Doan Van Chi's family will take good care of the breeding pig herd, promote the effectiveness of the support source to soon escape poverty sustainably.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress and towards the Congress of the Veterans Association at all levels.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the Van Phu Ward Veterans Association maintained 4 savings and loan groups with a total outstanding debt of more than 8.1 billion VND.
The Association also supported 20.5 million VND to remove temporary houses for 2 members with difficult housing circumstances and implemented many other comradeship activities.
These practical activities contribute to improving the lives of members, spreading the spirit of solidarity, mutual support and joining hands to achieve the goal of sustainable poverty reduction in the locality.
