The Social Charity Sub-committee (Central Buddhist Family Sub-committee) has just organized the donation of bicycles to disadvantaged union members in Ho Chi Minh City and the eastern and southwestern provinces.
At Thien Chanh Pagoda (HCMC), the Social Charity Sub-committee organized a bicycle donation ceremony to support transportation for Buddhist family members who are facing difficulties.
Attending the ceremony were Nun Thich Nu Minh Lien, representatives of the Vien Thong Pagoda Charity Fund, along with Buddhists, sponsors and brothers. Here, the organizing committee handed over 50 new bicycles to students in the Ho Chi Minh City and Tay Ninh province areas.
In this phase, the Social Charity Sub-committee also coordinated with philanthropists to expand the scale of donations to many other provinces and cities. Specifically, the program has donated: 80 bicycles donated in Ba Ria - Vung Tau (formerly), 80 bicycles in Dong Nai, 50 bicycles in Kien Giang, 13 bicycles in Soc Trang (formerly), 16 bicycles in Tra Vinh (formerly), 14 bicycles in Ca Mau...
These practical gifts are not only means of transportation but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping youth union members have more motivation to rise up in their studies and activities.
