Towards the Buddha's Birthday, Khanh An Monastery presented 500 gifts worth 160 million VND to patients at the Oncology Hospital.

Towards the Buddha's Birthday PL. 2570, monks and Buddhists of Khanh An Monastery (HCMC) organized a meaningful charity trip at Oncology Hospital facility 2, giving 500 gifts to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This is also the sixth consecutive year that the delegation has maintained this charity activity, as a bridge of love continued by the spirit of compassion and sharing of Buddhist children.

Representing the delegation, Master Tri Chon - Abbot of Khanh An Monastery kindly sent greetings and encouragement to patients and relatives who are fighting against illness day and night. He shared that, amidst the impermanence of life, the most precious thing is human love and faith to overcome adversity. With the wish to "share joys and sorrows", monks and Buddhists have sent a little pure wealth to each patient, hoping to contribute to sharing difficulties and adding strength so that everyone can maintain an optimistic spirit on the challenging journey of healing.

Accompanying the charity delegation regularly is Ms. Kieu Phung, who used to have relatives undergoing cancer treatment and was fortunate to be cured. It was the months of accompanying relatives at the hospital that helped her understand the hardships, pain and pressure that patients' families have to go through. From that empathy, she developed a kind heart with Buddhists towards cancer patients, hoping to bring a little warmth of love to soothe some of the difficulties in life.

It is known that all the pure money in this program was donated by Buddhists Kieu Phung, An Khanh, Bich Thuy and An Nhien. The total amount donated is 160 million VND sent directly to patients.
