At Nghe Temple and Nam Hai Than Vuong Temple (Dau Dau), the Organizing Committee of the Do Son Traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival offered incense and raised flags for the qualifying round of the festival. In addition, the Organizing Committee also organized 3 delegations to attend the incense offering and flag raising ceremony at Ngoc Xuyen communal house, Nam communal house, Ngoc Hai communal house in Do Son ward.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates offer incense and perform the flag-raising ceremony to open the festival. This is the opening ceremony for the qualifying round of the Do Son Traditional Buffalo Fighting Festival 2026 with the desire for a festival season with favorable weather, safe, exciting, and attractive competitions.

After 8 years of interrupting only the final round, this year, the festival is organized in 2 rounds of competition (qualifying round and final round) according to tradition and heritage documents approved by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. From the qualifying round held on the morning of July 21 (ie, the 8th day of the 6th lunar month), the Organizing Committee will select 16 best quality buffaloes to participate in the Final Round held on the morning of September 19 (ie, the 9th day of the 8th lunar month) at Do Son Ward Central Stadium. To date, the Organizing Committee has issued 12,000 invitations to participate in the qualifying round festival part.
