The Global Chefs Challenge Finals 2026 final round takes place from May 16 to 19, 2026 at the International Conference Center Wales (ICC Wales), Newport city, Wales, UK.
At the competition, the Vietnamese Chef Team excellently won a Silver Medal, ranking 8th in the world out of 15 national and regional teams participating in the Global Chefs Challenge category - the most prestigious competition for professional chefs in the competition system of the World Chefs Association (Worldchefs).

This is the first time Vietnam has had a representative participate in the global final round of this competition, marking an important step forward for the Vietnamese professional chef team in the process of integration and participation in international professional playgrounds.
According to the official ranking results announced after the final round, the Vietnamese team achieved 81,875 points, in the group of teams that won the Silver Medal.
In the overall ranking, Italy ranked No. 1 with 94. 167 points, followed by Denmark with 93. 333 points and Singapore with 92. 458 points. Vietnam ranked 8th, surpassing many teams from countries with strong traditions of culinary development and cooking training.
The Vietnamese team participates in the competition with the main representative being Chef Trinh Tuan Dung, along with assistant chef Le Dac Minh Quan, under the training and professional companionship of Mr. Van Phu Phuong Dung. The members are all members of the Saigon Professional Chef Association (SPC), directly under the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, and are also official members of the Vietnam Professional Chef Association.

Before participating in the world finals, the Vietnamese team passed the Asian regional qualifiers held in 2025. In the regional semi-finals, Chef Trinh Tuan Dung won a Gold Medal, becoming one of the two representatives with the highest scores in Asia, along with Singapore winning the right to enter the global finals in Wales.
Global Chefs Challenge is an international cooking competition held within the framework of the Worldchefs Congress, gathering the best chefs in the world after a rigorous selection process from continental regions. The competition is a place for teams to show professional competence, processing techniques, creativity, time management, ingredient processing and food presentation standards in a professional competition environment.
At the 2026 finals, the Vietnamese team competes with 15 strong teams from Italy, Denmark, Singapore, Finland, Netherlands, Mexico, Wales, UAE, Australia, Portugal, Slovakia, Namibia, Fiji, the United States and other countries.
