According to storm news, the latest low pressure from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), a low pressure is operating near the East Sea, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
As of the morning of May 25, the center of the low pressure was located at about 8.4 degrees North latitude - 142.2 degrees East longitude, about 1,745 km from the eastern area of the Northeast Mindanao region. The low pressure moved westward for the past 24 hours, then suddenly changed direction to the East, away from the Philippine area of responsibility.
The strongest wind near the center of the low pressure reached 30 km/h. The low pressure is forecast to have a moderate possibility of developing into a tropical depression or storm in the next 24 hours.
