New low pressure forms immediately after super typhoon Ba Vi

A new low pressure has formed over the Pacific Ocean, while Typhoon Ba Vi is actively operating.

According to storm news, the latest low pressure from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), a new low pressure has formed in the Pacific Ocean.

As of the afternoon of July 7, the position of the low pressure center with the symbol Invest 97W is currently located in the western Pacific region. The low pressure is moving in a West-Northwest direction with the strongest wind near the low pressure center reaching 35 km/h.

JTWC forecasts that the low pressure is unlikely to develop strongly into a tropical depression or storm in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Super Typhoon Ba Vi is still actively operating in the sea area near the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

As of 4 pm today, the storm's center is located at about 16.5 degrees North latitude - 138.4 degrees East longitude, about 1,735 km east of Central Luzon (Philippines).

The strongest wind near the storm center reached 185 km/h, gusting to 230 km/h. The storm is moving in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 25 km/h.

In the next 24 hours, Ba Vi will continue to be a super typhoon operating in the sea area east of the Philippines and there are no signs of directly affecting the mainland Philippines.

In the East Sea, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the forecast for the day and night of July 7, the area north of the Gulf of Tonkin during the day has strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts of level 7-8; rough seas. From night the wind gradually decreases. Waves are 2-3 m high. In the Gulf of Tonkin there are scattered showers and thunderstorms. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes.

Forecast for day and night of July 8, the area from Khanh Hoa to Lam Dong has strong southwest winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts of level 7-8; sea waves are 2.0-3.0m high; rough seas. Level of natural disaster risk at sea: level 2.

All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and large waves.
