The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (July 3) in regions across the country.
From the night of July 3rd to July 4th, the Northeast region and Thanh Hoa will have moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain in some places accompanied by thunderstorms. Common rainfall is from 30-70mm, locally over 120mm.
In the evening and night of July 2nd, the Northern region, Thanh Hoa to Hue City and the South Central Coast experienced scattered showers and thunderstorms, with common rainfall of 10-30mm, in some places over 70mm. In the Central Highlands and Southern regions, moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms continue to occur with rainfall of 20-40mm, locally over 90mm.
During thunderstorms, people and tourists need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
From the night of July 4th to the end of July 5th, heavy rain will continue to increase in the Northeast region. Common rainfall is from 70-130mm, especially the Northeast region may reach 120-180mm, locally over 250mm.
Prolonged heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas and industrial parks, while increasing the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides in hilly and steep areas. People need to closely monitor weather forecasts and proactively take preventive measures.
