Storm No. 5 Kajiki has reached the coast of Nghe An - Ha Tinh, with the strongest wind level 12 (118-133km/h), gusting to level 14-15 (150-183km/h).

According to the latest storm news from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 3:00 p.m. on August 25, storm No. 5 Kajiki approached the mainland.

In the next 3 hours, storm No. 5 will move westward at a speed of about 10-15km/h.

Due to the influence of storm No. 5, at Bach Long Vi station (Hai Phong), there are strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 9; Co To station (Quang Ninh) has strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 10; Bai Chay station (Quang Ninh) has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8; Van Ly station (Ninh Binh) has strong winds of level 8, gusting to level 9; Dien Chau station (Nghe An) has strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 9; Quynh Luu station (Nghe An) has strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 12; Hon Ngu station (Nghe An) has strong winds of level 8, gusting to level 11. Hoanh Son station (Ha Tinh) has strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 9; Ky Anh station (Ha Tinh) has strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 11.

The storm water rose 0.91m in Sam Son (Thanh Hoa), 1.45m in Hon Ngu (Nghe An), and 0.51m in Vung Ang (Ha Tinh).

In the Northern Delta provinces, from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, there was moderate rain, heavy rain, and some places had very heavy rain over 300mm.

The sea area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri (including Hon Ngu island, Con Co special area) has strong winds of level 8-11, the area near the storm's eye has level 12-13, gusts of level across; waves 5.0-4.0m high, the area near the storm's eye has 8.0-10.0m; the sea is very rough.

The North Gulf of Tonkin (including the special areas of Cat Hai, Co To, Van Don) will have strong winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 9; In the South, the North Gulf of Tonkin (including the special area of Bach Long Vi) will have strong winds of level 7-8, gusting to level 10; waves 3.0-5.0m high; rough seas.

In the coastal areas and islands from Hai Phong to Nghe An, sea levels continue to rise due to high tides and storm surges. The storm's water rose from 0.5-1.8m, with Thanh Hoa and Nghe An alone reaching 1.0-18.8m.

The water level according to the station markers at Hon Dau (Hai Phong) is 3.4.5,5,5m high, Ba Lat (Ninh Binh) 1.7-2.2m, Sam Son (Thanh Hoa) 3.7- 4.2m, at Hon Ngu (Nghe An) 3.8-4.2m. High risk of flooding dykes, coastal roads, and riverbanks, especially in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa coastal areas in the afternoon and evening of August 25.

The weather at sea and in coastal areas during the storm is extremely dangerous and unsafe for any vehicles or works operating in the dangerous area such as: Tourist boats, passenger ships, transport ships, cages, rafts, aquaculture areas, dykes, embankments, coastal roads. Vehicles are likely to overturn or be destroyed; flooded due to strong winds, large waves and rising sea levels.

On land: the North of Thanh Hoa has strong winds of level 8-9, gusting to level 10-11; the South of Thanh Hoa - North of Ha Tinh has strong winds of 10-11, near the storm center level 12-13, gusting to level 14-15; the South of Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, coastal areas of the provinces from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh have strong winds of level 6-8, gusting to level 9-10.

From the afternoon of August 25 to the end of August 26, in the midlands and deltas of the North, the areas of Lao Cai, Son La and from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, there will be widespread heavy rain with common rainfall of 70-150mm, locally over 250mm; in the Thanh Hoa to North Quang Tri, there will be heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of 150-350mm, locally over 500mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain (>200mm/3 hours).
