According to the latest storm news from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the morning of October 6, storm No. 11 Matmo weakened into a tropical depression.
At 7:00 a.m., the center of the tropical depression was at about 22.0 degrees North latitude - 107.1 degrees East longitude, in the area south of Guangxi Province (China).
The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression will reach level 7 (50-61 km/h), gusting to level 9. The low pressure is moving westward at a speed of 20-25 km/h.
The tropical depression affects the northern part of Vietnam.
From October 6 to the end of the night of October 7, the mountainous and midland areas of the North will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with common rainfall of 100-200mm, locally over 300mm.
