Due to the impact of cold air, the weather in the Northern and North Central regions will show moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain in some places. During the day and night of May 3, the Northern and Thanh Hoa regions will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, with common rainfall of 20-40mm, locally over 90mm.
From the afternoon of May 3rd to the morning of May 4th, the area from Nghe An to Hue City will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 50mm.
Notably, from the afternoon and night of May 3rd, the weather in the Northeast and North Central regions will turn cool. The lowest temperature is commonly 20-23 degrees C, mountainous areas in some places below 20 degrees C; North Central region fluctuates from 21-24 degrees C.
In Hanoi City, in the afternoon and night of May 3rd, there will be rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain, the weather will turn cool with the lowest common temperature of 21-23 degrees C.
The meteorological agency warns that in thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain poses a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas.
