Right from the evening and night of September 9, the Central Highlands and Southern regions are likely to have moderate rain and thunderstorms, common rainfall of 20-40mm, locally very heavy rain over 100mm.
The area from Hue City to Da Nang City, and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Khanh Hoa are also forecast to have showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain over 80mm.
For tourists who are planning trekking, mountain climbing, exploring waterfalls, caves or moving to mountainous areas, closely monitoring the weather situation is necessary.
Heavy rain may cause flooding in low-lying areas and urban areas, while increasing the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides in hilly areas.
