The tropical depression is forecast to strengthen into a storm on the afternoon of June 11. By June 12, the danger zone will expand. The meteorological agency has assigned the natural disaster risk level to Level 3 in the sea off the coast of Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, the North East Sea and the North Central East Sea.
The forecast for the day and night of June 11 is that the South Central, Central Highlands, and South regions will have moderate to heavy rain, locally very heavy rain (30 80mm, some places over 150mm).
From the night of June 11 to June 13, Central Central region: 100-300mm, locally over 450mm.
The Northern Central Highlands will record rainfall of about 70-150mm, locally over 200mm.
Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes.
