The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (April 16) in regions across the country.

On April 16, the area from Nghe An to Hue City continued to experience hot and intense heat, especially intense in some places. The highest temperature is commonly from 36-38 degrees C, in some places above 39 degrees C, the relative lowest humidity fluctuates from 55-60%.

The Northwest region, Thanh Hoa, Central Highlands and Southern regions record localized hot weather, with the highest temperature in some places exceeding 35 degrees Celsius.

Hot weather expands in the Central and South Central Coast, Central Highlands such as Da Nang City and the East of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak maintaining hot weather, in some places intense hot weather with the highest temperature commonly 35-37 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C; low humidity from 55-60%.

As of April 17, the area from Hue City to Da Nang City and the eastern area from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will still have hot weather, with common temperatures of 35-36 degrees Celsius, in some places above 37 degrees Celsius. However, widespread hot weather in the area from Nghe An to Quang Tri tends to decrease and end on April 17.

Forecast from April 18, widespread hot weather in the Central Central region will end.

Northern region changes to rain, temperature drops

From the night of April 16 to April 17, due to the influence of cold air compressing low pressure troughs combined with high-altitude wind convergence, the Northern region (except Lai Chau, Dien Bien) and Thanh Hoa will have moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain in some places.

Common rainfall: 20–40mm, locally over 100mm. From April 17, the North turns cool, the temperature drops significantly.

Rainstorms in the Central Highlands and accompanying natural disaster warnings

In the late afternoon and evening of April 15, the Central Highlands area will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, rainfall of 10-20mm, in some places over 50mm.
