According to the latest storm forecast from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAR), the tropical depression is intensifying, leaving the country's responsibility area (PAR).
On the evening of July 4, the tropical depression (local name in the Philippines is Bising) was at about 19.8° North latitude, 118.2° East longitude, in the sea about 350km west of Cagayan. Winds near the center of the tropical depression are about 55km/h.
The tropical depression is moving westward at a speed of about 5-10 km/h, causing widespread thunderstorms in the North East Sea area (including the sea area of Hoang Sa).
The tropical depression is expected to strengthen into a storm in the next 48 hours, reaching a maximum intensity of about 140 km/h, according to the US Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC).
When it strengthens into a tropical storm, the tropical depression will be internationally named DANAS, according to the Taiwan Meteorological Station (China).
People and tourists on boats still offshore far from the East Sea are advised to plan to move away from the danger zone affected by the storm, find shelter to ensure safety.
Tourists planning to visit destinations in Southeast China, Taiwan (China), and the North of the Philippines should pay attention to weather forecasts for the next 48 hours and follow the recommendations of local authorities.
