Weather forecast for tomorrow August 7, Hanoi at night and morning with moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms; after rain reduced.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the evening of August 6 to the morning of August 7, the Northern region, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will continue to have moderate to heavy rain with thunderstorms. Tourists planning to visit mountain tourist destinations, trek or travel on mountain passes need to closely monitor weather developments to proactively adjust their schedules.

Rainfall is forecast to be common from 20-50mm, locally over 150mm. Notably, the meteorological agency warns of the risk of heavy rain over 100mm in 3 hours, which may cause localized flooding and reduce visibility when traveling.

In the late afternoon and night of August 6, Ha Tinh, Central Highlands and Southern regions also experienced scattered showers and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 15-30mm, locally over 80mm.

In thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can occur, affecting outdoor sightseeing, camping, mountain climbing and river and lake entertainment activities.

Experts recommend that tourists limit going to areas along streams, spillways, hillsides or landslide-prone points during heavy rain. People and tourists should also proactively check traffic conditions before departure, and monitor weather forecasts to ensure safety for the journey.

According to forecasts, from the afternoon of August 7, heavy rain in the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will tend to gradually decrease. However, the risk of flooding in low-lying areas, flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides in hilly areas is still present after many consecutive days of rain. The level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning and hail is maintained at level 1.
