Two new low pressure areas have just formed in the Pacific after Typhoon Higos.

According to storm news, the latest low pressure from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC), two new low pressures have just formed in the Pacific Ocean.

The first low pressure, coded Invest 95W, is currently located in the North Pacific region. The strongest wind near the center of the low pressure reaches 30 km/h.

The low pressure is forecast to have little chance of developing into a tropical depression or storm in the next 24 hours.

The second low pressure area, coded Invest 94E, is currently located in the eastern Pacific region. The low pressure area moves quickly in a West direction over waters with lower temperatures, so the possibility of further development is not high.

JTWC forecasts that the low pressure has a 10% chance of developing into a tropical depression or tropical storm in the next 2 days, and a 10% chance of developing in the next 7 days.

Due to the influence of the low pressure, the Central and East Pacific regions have continuous thunderstorms and rain, affecting the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Mekkhala and Typhoon Higos are operating near the East Sea. While Typhoon Mekkhala has weakened to tropical storm level, moving south of Japan, Typhoon Higos is strengthening with winds of 75 km/h. The storm is forecast to reach a maximum of 85 km/h in the next 24 hours before entering a phase of gradual weakening.

In the East Sea, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the day and night of June 25, the area from Khanh Hoa to Vinh Long, the sea area west of the South East Sea (including the sea area west of Truong Sa special zone) has strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts of level 7-8. Seas are rough. Waves are 2-3m high.

On June 25, day and night, the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau to An Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, the Central and Southern East Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

On the night of June 25, the Northern Gulf will have showers and thunderstorms. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind at level 7-8, and sea waves over 2.0m high.

On the day and night of June 26, the wind in the sea areas tends to gradually decrease.

All ships operating in the above sea areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and big waves. People and tourists planning to visit these sea areas should pay attention to weather forecasts and follow local instructions to avoid thunderstorms and big waves at sea causing danger.
