According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education, intermediate schools, and training schools for education officials in the city have a Hung Kings Commemoration holiday on Monday, April 27.
For schools that do not study Saturday, students are off for three days, including two consecutive weekends earlier (April 25-26).
Students go to school for two days, Tuesday and Wednesday (April 28-29), then continue to have 2 holidays including Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day 1. If not going to school on Saturday, students will have 2 more weekend days off, the total duration of the holiday is 4 days.
With a long holiday schedule, especially the period connecting Hung Kings' Death Anniversary and the April 30 - May 1 holiday, the travel and tourism demand of Hanoi people is forecast to increase.
Tourists should proactively plan early, book train, bus, plane and accommodation tickets in advance to avoid overload or price increases at the last minute. Destinations near Hanoi such as the Northern mountains, coastal areas or suburban eco-tourism areas are often suitable choices for short holidays.
For families with young children, it is necessary to consider alternating holiday schedules to arrange trips reasonably, avoiding affecting study immediately after the holiday.
