Floods continue in the Central region, many places have over 200 mm of rain

The remnants of storm No. 15 are forecast to make landfall, combined with cold air from the North overflowing, causing heavy rain in the Central region.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on December 4, the province/city from Hue to Lam Dong had moderate to heavy rain such as: Loc Tien 265.4mm (Hue city); Tra Don 218.8mm (Da Nang city); Tra Thanh 161.4mm (Quang Ngai); Ho Hoi Khanh 153.2mm (Gia Lai); Yang Mao 133.8mm (Dak Lak); Khanh Phu 127.4mm (Khanh Hoa); Vo Xu 151.7mm (Lam Dong)...

Soil moisture models show that some areas in the above provinces are nearly saturated (over 85%) or have reached a saturated state.

On the afternoon of December 4, the above provinces/cities will continue to have rain with common accumulated rainfall as follows: Hue, Da Nang, east of Gia Lai from 20-50mm, some places over 100mm; West of Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa from 10-30mm, some places over 70mm.

Forecast for the evening and into December 4, the risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many communes/wards:
