The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province has a document sent to the Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center regarding the continued organization and improvement of the effectiveness of the art program "Lung linh huyen thoai" at the special national relic Thap Ba Po Nagar.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the program "Lung linh huyền thoại" currently includes two versions with the theme "Moon reflecting the shape of the tower" (launched on January 28, 2023) and "Linh thiêng xứ Trầm" (Spirit Land of Agarwood) (launched on January 20, 2024).
This is identified as a typical cultural product, contributing to realizing the Nighttime Economic Development Project of Khanh Hoa province.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism assessed that the program is a breakthrough in organizing cultural activities associated with tourism products, contributing to creating an impression for Khanh Hoa as one of the localities that early implemented the model of combining art performance with nighttime economic development.
However, to improve the efficiency of exploitation and service for tourists and travel businesses, the center is required to be more proactive and flexible in organization in the coming time.
Specifically, the Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center needs to continue to issue open letters and price lists to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Tourism Association, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, and travel businesses to promote programs and coordinate in building night tours.
In addition, the center is required to study the option of using the unit's art troupe to build new programs, gradually cutting programs implemented by the Provincial Traditional Art Theater.
This is to refresh the performance content, while reducing financial pressure due to having to sign contracts for each performance night.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requested the center to urgently conduct an overall assessment, develop a plan to organize a new version of the program "Lung linh huyen thoai" and report to the department for consideration and direction.
In addition, the Provincial Traditional Art Theater and the Tourism Management Department are required to base on their functions and tasks to coordinate and support the Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center in implementing the program in the coming time.
Previously, on January 27, the Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center proposed to temporarily suspend the implementation of the "Lung linh huyen thoai" program because the program had not achieved the set goals, especially in terms of economic efficiency.
