According to the Michelin Guide, food is always at the heart of a trip, shaping the way people connect with cultures and destinations around the world.
The strong development of restaurants from high-end to popular shows how cuisine brings tourists closer to locals, immersing them in the history and traditions of the destination.
Therefore, this world's leading culinary guide has announced a list of 10 attractive destinations in 2025 for tourists who love both food and exploration. Among them, in Asia, Michelin Guide suggests Da Nang as a must-visit place this year.
The reason to visit Da Nang in 2025 is that the new Michelin Guide Da Nang will be launched in June 2024, marking the third city in Vietnam to be listed by the world's leading culinary guide with outstanding restaurants and eateries. Da Nang is famous for its seafood and local dishes.
Currently, there are 36 restaurants and eateries in Da Nang listed in the Michelin Guide, including 16 restaurants listed in the Bid Gourmands (reasonable price) list and one restaurant with one Michelin star.
According to the culinary guide, visitors to Da Nang should not miss Quang noodles, bun cha, enjoy the minimalist space of Nen Danang, or the local culinary style of Madame Lan.
Da Nang dishes always have a combination of many types of seafood such as shrimp, squid, clams, snails... Restaurants and eateries also harmonize between sidewalk stall style and modern restaurant style.
Not only that, Da Nang is also located near Hoi An ancient town (a world cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO), and the ancient capital of Hue is also very famous for its architecture, culture, and cuisine.
