Da Nang Department of Tourism has organized a series of activities to welcome nearly 3,000 tourists arriving in Da Nang by air and sea.
From 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the domestic and international arrival terminals of Da Nang International Airport, the program to welcome air travelers coordinated by the Da Nang Department of Tourism and other units brought a vibrant atmosphere to visitors.
The activity aims to create a special impression on the first day of the new year, not only bringing artistic performances but the program also sends visitors greeting cards, along with many gifts such as vouchers from prominent tourist destinations in the city.
This year, with the cooperation of businesses, the Department of Tourism has prepared nearly 1,000 vouchers to experience services for the first tourists to Da Nang. Notably, at the domestic terminal, three lucky passengers on Vietnam Airlines flight VN110 from Ho Chi Minh City landing at 8:20 received meaningful gifts.
At the international terminal, tourists from Thailand, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong (China) arriving in Da Nang between 9am and 10am were also warmly welcomed.
On the first day of 2025, Da Nang International Airport welcomed 125 flights to Da Nang, of which the number of international flights reached 57.
During the 2025 New Year holiday alone, from December 28, 2024 to January 1, 2025, Da Nang International Airport will welcome more than 600 flights to Da Nang, an increase of 15.6% over the same period in 2024.
On the same day, nearly 2,000 European and American tourists on the Noordam cruise ship, one of four ships in the Vista Class of Holland American Line, arrived in Da Nang.
Departing from Singapore, the Noordam cruise ship passed through Thailand and Cambodia before arriving in Vietnam. In Da Nang, visitors will spend 2 days visiting famous destinations such as Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum, My Khe Beach and exploring the city by cyclo.
According to the forecast of Da Nang Port, the number of visitors to Da Nang by sea in 2025 will grow strongly, Tien Sa Port is expected to welcome 76 ships (an increase of 41 ships compared to 2024) with the number of visitors estimated at more than 70,000, an expected increase of 64% compared to 2024.
