Singer Doan Truong began his first trip of the year to Moscow (Russia) in a mood full of emotions. For him, this is not just a simple trip but also a journey back to the place where he was attached to his student days more than 30 years ago, realizing many unfinished dreams.
Before becoming a singer and travel blogger, Doan Truong studied in Russia and graduated with a master's degree in chemistry. Therefore, returning to Moscow has a special meaning for him.
Every Tet, I shed tears when I think of my parents who are no longer there. Instead of staying at home facing sadness, this year I decided to go to Russia - the place that was associated with my youth," he shared.

This journey was not entirely smooth. When arriving in Moscow, the male singer encountered a major snowstorm that affected many activities in the Russian capital. The plane had to circle for nearly 2 hours and wait another 2 hours for the snow removal truck on the runway before landing. The harsh weather with temperatures around minus 15 degrees Celsius caused him to catch a cold because he had not had time to adapt.
One of the memorable moments of the trip was when Doan Truong wore a Vietnamese ao dai and took photos at Red Square. He said he had waited for 30 years to realize his desire to wear traditional Vietnamese costumes at this famous place.

The special highlight of the journey is the trip to the city of Murmansk - located in the Arctic Circle to hunt for the aurora phenomenon. The male singer said he had to stay up for three consecutive nights, waiting to record the brilliant aurora moments under the sky when the temperature dropped to minus 20 degrees Celsius.
Besides new experiences, the trip also brought Doan Truong back to old memories. When visiting the university and dormitory where he used to live, the male singer was moved to tears because he was not allowed inside.
In addition, he also experienced many activities that he had never had the opportunity to do when he was a student such as Russian bathing, ice skating, skiing, dog sledding or driving a motorbike on snow.
