Currently, many places in the province have thunderstorms and strong winds, big waves at sea; thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind can affect tourism activities. To proactively respond to strong winds and big waves at sea, the Department of Tourism requires the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of communes, wards and special zones to closely monitor warnings, forecasts and developments of strong winds at sea. Thereby, timely and complete information is provided to organizations and individuals doing tourism services and tourists to proactively prevent, respond, and minimize damage.
Proactively coordinate with relevant agencies and units to strengthen inspection work, remind tourism businesses in the management area to strictly implement instructions from competent authorities on timely response measures to strong winds, big waves, and thunderstorms. Ensure safety for tourists when sightseeing at sea and islands during thunderstorms, strong winds and big waves.
The Director of the Department of Tourism requires tourism service businesses to proactively propose measures to ensure the safety of tourists. remind visitors to be vigilant against the risk of complicated weather developments, especially units with beaches and swimming pools must arrange staff with professional rescue and drowning duty; have warning signs for unsafe locations, and regulate the operating area of water sports vehicles.
Travel businesses when organizing tour programs must absolutely ensure the safety of tourists, especially tours to visit islands by boat or canoe. Do not take visitors to dangerous places when there are strong winds and big waves at sea. The Management Board of Hai Tac archipelago, Nam Du archipelago and Lai Son Tourism Zones strengthens inspection work, reminding tourism service businesses under its management to strictly implement measures to ensure safety for tourists; proactively respond to strong winds, big waves, thunderstorms and bad weather at sea.

For Phu Quoc special zone, to proactively respond to strong winds and large waves at sea, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of the special zone also issued an official dispatch proposing to deploy a number of tasks.
Request Border Guard units stationed in the special zone to closely monitor warnings, forecasts and developments of strong winds at sea to notify owners of vehicles, captains of ships and boats operating at sea to proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas; have appropriate production plans, ensure safety of people and property. Prepare forces and means for timely rescue when required. Coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to strictly manage the departure and counting of ships, maintain communication with owners of vehicles to promptly handle possible bad situations.
The Military Command of the Special Zone prepares forces and means to promptly rescue and save when situations arise.
The Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department proactively contacts closely with the Department of Construction of An Giang province and coordinates with Border Guard Units stationed in the area and the Chief Representative of the Maritime Port Authority in Phu Quoc to strictly manage seaborne transport vehicles entering and leaving the port. Vehicles transporting passengers and goods to the islands and vice versa are strictly prohibited when bad weather developments at sea do not ensure safety in operation.
