Regarding the implementation of work related to preparations for the APEC Conference, the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Prime Minister consider and add 2 more projects. Specifically, the coastal road investment project on the eastern side of Phu Quoc island (44 km long, 60 m wide, total estimated investment of VND 14,100 billion) and the coastal road project connecting An Thoi port (27 km long, 30-60 m wide, total estimated investment of VND 2,650 billion).
At the same time, it is allowed to apply a special mechanism in selecting investors for the Urban Metro Line 1 project (total investment capital of VND9,000 billion, invested in the form of PPP) to be applied in the form of selecting investors in special cases to shorten the project implementation time, and soon put into service for the APEC 2027 Conference.
To date, the province has completed the selection of investors for the Phu Quoc International Airport Expansion Investment Project with a total capital of nearly VND 22,000 billion, with an operating term of 70 years, implemented by Sun Airport Joint Stock Company.
