An Giang - Phu Quoc Special Zone is estimated to welcome nearly 790,000 visitors, with total revenue reaching VND 3,278 billion, accounting for more than 63% of the province's total tourism revenue.

According to the An Giang Department of Tourism, in July 2025, An Giang is expected to welcome more than 2.1 million visitors to visit and travel (up 31.8% over the same period), of which international visitors are estimated to welcome more than 101,400 (up 51.9% over the same period); total revenue reached nearly 5,200 billion VND (up 92.2% over the same period).

Of which, Phu Quoc Special Zone is estimated to welcome nearly 790,000 visitors (up 24.2% over the same period), international visitors are estimated to welcome more than 96,800 visitors (up 53.4% over the same period); total revenue reaches VND 3,278 billion (up 99.7% over the same period).

In addition, Ha Tien ward welcomed more than 395,000 visitors; Nui Sam National Tourist Area about 400,000 visitors...

The whole province has 1,086 tourist accommodation establishments with 37,508 rooms. Of which, 1-3 star accommodation facilities have 41 facilities with 1,712 rooms; 4-5 star accommodation facilities have 30 facilities with 13,576 rooms; hotels and motels that meet the standards to serve tourists have 444 facilities with 12,108 rooms.

The Department of Tourism also said that in August 2025, it will advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue an Official Dispatch to collect opinions from ministries, branches, and the Central Government on the Project "Building Phu Quoc into a center for high-quality eco-tourism, marine and island tourism of national and international scale".

Submission for approval on the development of the An Giang tourism development project for the period 2025 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. Develop a survey plan for locations to install names to promote tourism images on islands with potential and exploiting tourism to add to the Public Investment Plan for the period 2026 - 2030; survey natural resources, tourist areas, tourist attractions/tourism attractions in the old An Giang province to serve the orientation of developing tourism development programs and planning of An Giang province.

In addition, the Department will report the operation situation and complete the Management Board of tourist areas and spots in the province to send to recognized tourist areas and spots. Research and propose the Provincial People's Committee to adjust Plan No. 107/KH-UBND on the implementation of the tourism resource investigation plan in Kien Giang province, in order to expand the scope of the Plan according to the new administrative boundaries of An Giang province.

Review and re-number communes, wards and special zones that are exploiting tourism development. For example, the policy of investigating tourist spending (domestic and international), calculating the contribution of tourism in region III and GRDP of the province.

The Department will also work with the Ho Chi Minh City Culinary Association and the Provincial chefs Association to prepare for the renaming to establish the An Giang Provincial chefs Association; Coordinate the organization of the Ceremony to announce the establishment of the APEC National Committee 2027...
