Responding to the Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2026, on July 18, at 2/4 Square (Nha Trang ward), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union (LHPN) organized the "Ao Dai - Colors of the Sea" festival.
The program was attended by 10 international delegations and more than 2,000 officials and women's union members in the province.
Ms. Nguyen Quynh Nga - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairwoman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union said that this year's festival takes place on Tran Phu coastal road - one of the beautiful roads of Nha Trang Bay.
Images of thousands of brilliant ao dai harmonizing with the sea space create a colorful picture, spreading the spirit of solidarity and pride in Vietnamese ao dai.
If previous seasons had walking performances, setting Vietnam records or recreating the image of ao dai with cyclos, this year the highlight of the festival is the cycling parade of more than 2,000 members and women on Tran Phu street.
According to Ms. Nguyen Quynh Nga, the combination of ao dai and bicycles not only recreates traditional beauty but also conveys many meaningful messages such as honoring cultural and historical values; spreading green lifestyles through the use of environmentally friendly vehicles.
At the same time, promoting the image of Khanh Hoa as a civilized, friendly destination and towards sustainable tourism development.
We expect that after the festival, the image of ao dai and the habit of using bicycles in daily life will continue to spread, becoming a cultural beauty of the community," Ms. Nguyen Quynh Nga shared.
Within the framework of the program, women's union members performed two Ao Dai collections "Song" - recreating the open beauty of the homeland's sea, honoring the image of gentle but brave, strong women reaching out to sea.
Along with the "Vietnam Brocade Flowers" collection, depicting the gentle and luxurious beauty of Vietnamese women, contributing to spreading pride in national cultural identity through ao dai.
Khanh Hoa Ao Dai Festival not only honors the beauty of Vietnamese Ao Dai but also sends a message about environmental protection, encouraging the use of green transportation, contributing to building a civilized city and sustainable tourism development.
