On the afternoon of April 30, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. To Manh Bien - Head of the Management Board of Con Vanh Tourist Area (Nam Phu Commune, Tien Hai District, Thai Binh Province) - said that on the first holiday on April 30 - May 1 this year, it is estimated that about 5,000 - 6,000 people and tourists came to this beach to swim and have fun.
According to Mr. Bien, this is a small number, not as expected and desired and also lower than the same period in previous years.
"The reason is because this morning, the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation, reunification of the country, the people and tourists focus on monitoring the activities of the ceremony through the mass media.

Before the 5-day April 30 - May holiday in 2025, to ensure the safety of tourists when coming to Con Vanh beach, it is known that the People's Committee of Tien Hai district has directed sectors, localities, and the Con Vanh Tourist Area Management Board to implement a plan to welcome visitors for sightseeing, swimming and ensuring security and order at the tourist area.
Accordingly, the district requested the Con Vanh Tourist Area Management Board to closely coordinate with sectors and units in the district and the People's Committee of Nam Phu commune to step up propaganda and promotion of the tourist area; assign officers to coordinate with border guards, police, and youth unions to carry out tasks to ensure security and order, traffic safety, rescue, environmental sanitation, etc., contributing to protecting the safety of people's lives and property and tourists.
The tourist area management board has organized general cleaning before the holidays; propagated and mobilized business households to proactively collect, bury waste, ensure environmental hygiene; practice a civilized lifestyle, behave politely with tourists; publicly post prices and ensure food hygiene and safety at food businesses.

In recent years, Con Vanh beach has been continuously eroded, while this year's holiday is right at the time of high tides, the high water level (on April 30 - May is the peak of the water level) causing difficulties in management, ensuring safety for tourists when swimming in the sea. Therefore, the Con Vanh Tourist Area Management Board has proactively implemented rescue work.
"We have assigned professional officers to coordinate with the border guards to set up markers and install warning signs in the beach area so that visitors can recognize and proactively ensure safety when swimming; at the same time, prepare forces to be on duty, promptly handle and rescue arising situations. In addition, we also require businesses to be responsible for reminding tourists to wear protective gear when swimming; encourage each household to make at least one warning sign for dangerous areas to warn tourists.
In addition, regularly broadcasting the beach rules through the loudspeaker system, requiring visitors to strictly comply with regulations on time and swimming area, wearing life jackets when going into the water; arranging medical staff and medicine for timely first aid when necessary", Mr. To Manh Bien - Head of the Management Board of Con Vanh tourist area, added.
