To serve the needs of people and tourists during the National Day holiday September 2nd, the Hanoi Department of Construction has requested relevant units to arrange personnel to perform free vehicle parking at some locations in the city. The implementation time is from 5 pm on August 31st to the end of September 2nd.
In the central area, free parking spots include: temporary parking spots at Ngoc Ha slope, Ba Dinh ward; spots under the roads of Ngo Quyen street (section from Tong Dan intersection to Hai Ba Trung intersection), Ly Thai To, Hai Ba Trung and Le Phung Hieu.
People can also send vehicles for free at the land plot adjacent to the University of Industry, in Tay Tuu ward.
Dong Xuan Joint Stock Company arranges personnel to park vehicles for free at temporary points under Ly Thai To and Nguyen Huu Huan streets.
In the western area of the city, free parking spots include: Yen Nghia Bus Station, Yen Nghia ward and parking lot at Nhon station, Xuan Phuong ward.
The campus of Hanoi Children's Palace, No. 36 Ly Thai To, Hoan Kiem ward is also arranged for free parking.
Public areas and attractions in Hanoi are also arranged to park vehicles without service fees. The list includes: Bach Thao Park, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, La Pho slope nursery land plot, Trung Vuong Secondary School, Youth Park, Thu Le Park, Indira Gandhi Park, Thong Nhat Park, Cau Giay Park, Phung Khoang Park, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam and Ly Thuong Kiet Elementary School.
Some temporary parking spots on streets organized for free parking include: Le Phung Hieu, Tran Nguyen Han, Hang Trong, Nha Tho, Ly Thai To and Ngo Quyen.
The Hanoi Department of Construction proposed that the People's Committees of communes and wards proactively review and arrange additional free vehicle parking locations to meet the needs of the people. The arising locations will be summarized for widespread information.
People and tourists when coming to entertainment and sightseeing spots during holidays should prioritize using arranged vehicle parking points, comply with the instructions of functional forces and not stop or park arbitrarily on roads and sidewalks.
Before parking, tourists need to correctly identify the allowed parking area, follow the instructions of the staff at the parking spot to ensure vehicle safety and limit traffic congestion.
