On January 2, Cam Ranh International Airport said that the number of passengers passing through the airport during the 2026 New Year holiday increased by about 15% compared to the same period in 2025.
From January 1st, the port served 512 flights departing and landing, an increase of 4% compared to the same period and an increase of 5% compared to the current flight week. Of which, there were 321 international and 191 domestic flights.
The total number of passengers reached more than 95,000, an increase of 15% compared to the same period and an increase of 20% compared to the flight week, showing the positive recovery momentum of Khanh Hoa tourism in the first days of the year.
At Nha Trang tourist wharf, Mr. Tran Van Phu - Head of Tourism Wharf Management Department (Nha Trang Bay Management Board) said that during the New Year holiday, the wharf serves more than 3,500 visitors per day, a slight increase compared to the peak period at the end of 2025.
The chilly weather makes sea and island tours no longer the main choice, but the number of visitors still shows signs of recovery, creating a bustling atmosphere at the beginning of the year.
Lao Dong's records show that, besides sea and island tours, many tourists choose to visit attractions in the inner city such as Truong Son Craft Village, Oceanography Museum, Ponagar Tower, and ancient Nha Trang Craft Village.
Some eco-tourism areas far from the center such as Kong Forest, Lang Nho - Lang Nhot Lake also recorded a slight increase in the number of visitors.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Long - a tourist from Dak Lak province - said that his family prioritizes visiting the inner city because it is convenient to travel. "The weather is chilly, so we don't go to the island. Young children like to visit craft villages, both to play and to have more practical experiences," he shared.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phi Hong Nguyen - Deputy Head of the Travel Association (Khanh Hoa Tourism Association), during this year's New Year holiday, the demand for tourism to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa increased.
In which, domestic tourists account for a large proportion, mainly choosing 2-4 day holidays. International tourists from Korea, China, and Russia continue to maintain stability. Thereby, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere for Khanh Hoa tourism right from the beginning of 2026.
