On the occasion of the 2026 New Year, Hanoi is expected to arrange 5 areas with a total of 6 high-altitude fireworks display sites combining low altitude and fireworks. Fireworks display time is 15 minutes, from 11:45 PM on December 31, 2025 to 0:00 AM on January 1, 2026.
Fireworks display locations include:
- Two battlefields in Hoan Kiem ward, including the area in front of the headquarters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper.
- Thong Nhat Park Coconut Island (Hai Ba Trung ward).
- F1 racetrack campus (Tu Liem ward).
- Lac Long Quan flower garden (Tay Ho ward).
- Ho Van Quan (Ha Dong ward).
The total number of fireworks used includes 4,000 high-altitude fireworks, 360 low-altitude fireworks platforms and many types of fireworks, ensuring scale, quality and impressive performance effects.
At the same time, Hanoi organizes the New Year 2026 (Countdown 2026) program with the theme "Real connection", taking place from 7:00 PM to 12:00 PM on December 31, 2025 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street space.
People and tourists who plan to see fireworks displays should pay attention to going early, setting up tables in cafes and restaurants with beautiful views. Choose suitable means of transportation and parking spaces to avoid traffic jams at fireworks display locations.
