On the afternoon of December 2, in Long Xuyen City, An Giang Trade and Investment Promotion Center (ATIP) held a ceremony to honor the authors and groups of authors who won prizes in the "An Giang Tourism Video Creation Contest 2024".
Mr. Le Trung Hieu - Director of ATIP with representatives of leaders of the Department of Culture and Information of districts, towns, cities; Travel Companies, Tourist Areas in the province; authors, groups of authors attended.
With the theme "An Giang in my heart", after nearly 6 months of launching (October 4, 2024), the contest attracted nearly 40 video entries from 24 individuals and groups of authors in the province and neighboring localities such as Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong... to participate.
Besides authors and semi-professional author groups, the contest also attracts many journalists and television directors to submit entries.
On behalf of the jury, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bang - Director of An Giang Province Radio and Television Station, commented: "Some outstanding works have realistically portrayed famous tourist destinations such as Cam Mountain, Tra Su Melaleuca Forest, Long Xuyen Floating Market, Chau Doc River Crossing Colorful Raft Village and traditional festivals"...
In addition, according to Mr. Bang, the entries have rich and diverse topics, bearing their own mark and perspective on the nature, culture and people of An Giang.
In particular, there are many bilingual videos (Vietnamese and English subtitles, English and Vietnamese subtitles) to help An Giang tourism communication get closer to international visitors.
However, according to Mr. Bang, besides that, many works lack investment in both frames and post-production, so they have not made an impression...
After the selection process, the jury selected 8 works to award prizes. After discussion, the jury and the organizing committee unanimously decided not to select any works to award the first prize. As a result, the work “My Hoa Hung - Land and People of Cu Lao” by Thai Chan Nam was awarded the second prize; “Nui Cam - Sao nguoi van den” by Huynh Ba Phuc and “Rong ruoi An Giang” by Huynh Van Trong were awarded the third prize.
4 Encouragement prizes, including: "An Giang in my heart" - Nguyen Vu Linh; "Sam Mountain Cable Car - Enjoying the place where the Lady resides" - Do Huynh Nhu; "Tra Su Melaleuca Forest - Discovering the green paradise" - Huynh Ba Phuc; "An Giang, the land's love - the love of people" - Nguyen Hoan Hao. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded 1 Special prize "Asian Cuisine Record - Specialty" - to Do Huynh Nhu.
