In particular, the program to vote for attractive tourist destinations in Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta in 2024 with the theme Enhancing destinations - Connecting journeys is a key content of the plan to cooperate in developing tourism in Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta in 2024.

According to Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the program contributes to preserving and promoting traditional culture and unique identities to promote and introduce destinations in Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta.
From there, link to build typical products, suitable to market demand and orient the development of tourism products linked to domestic and foreign tourists.
At the same time, increase the competitiveness of local tourism products and services. Create conditions for destination exploitation businesses to promote and communicate tourism products and services, connect with travel agencies to build tourism programs to serve tourists in order to extend their stay and increase their spending.
The voting program has been deployed and launched since April 2024 in Ben Tre, up to now, 126 tourist destinations have registered to participate (with confirmation of eligibility to participate from the Department of Tourism, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of 14 localities in the joint program). In November 2024, the organizing committee will announce the results.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam - Deputy Director of Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site (HCMC) said that participating in the voting program contributes to improving service quality, introducing and promoting destinations in 14 provinces and cities to tourists. At the same time, creating a synchronous connection between destinations to create attractive tourism products in the future.
"The Cu Chi Tunnels historical relic site focuses on improving quality, making many changes as well as creating new product models to attract visitors. The highlight is the Battle Zone Moon - one of the night tourism products" - Mr. Tam said.
