On February 21, a large number of tourists left the Vung Tau area after a spring trip at the beginning of the year, causing some gateway roads to the Vung Tau area to be congested in the direction of moving to Ho Chi Minh City.
According to records, from about 2 pm, National Highway 51 was congested for nearly 2 km from the Long Son intersection (intersection of Truong Sa - National Highway 51) to Eo Ong Tu (intersection of National Highway 51 - 30/4 - 3/2), in the direction from Vung Tau to Ba Ria due to too much traffic. At the same time, some red light stops on 3/2 street were also slightly congested in the direction leaving Vung Tau.
To avoid congestion on National Highway 51 and Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, many people choose to travel by sea ferry to Can Gio (HCMC), so this area also experiences congestion. A series of cars line up to park for more than 1 km on Tran Phu street waiting to buy tickets to board the ferry. And motorbikes are packed at the entrance.

Although the number of visitors leaving Vung Tau is quite large, there are also many tourists moving to Vung Tau for spring travel on the 5th day of Tet. Bai Sau area, Vung Tau ward is still very crowded with tourists swimming in the afternoon of February 21.
The room occupancy rate of many hotels is also high. Malibu Vung Tau 5-star hotel said that the room occupancy rate on February 21 is estimated at about 90%. At the same time, the number of new pre-booked customers on February 22 has also reached nearly 70%.
