According to records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, on the afternoon of February 19 (ie, the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026), tens of thousands of tourists flocked to Trang An eco-tourism area (Ninh Binh) to visit. Rows of people stretched from the ticket sales area to the boat wharf. The sudden increase in the number of visitors caused the ticket counter and boat wharf areas to be overloaded.
According to a boat dispatcher at Trang An, the number of passengers has increased sharply, so the waiting time to board the ferry ranges from 60 - 90 minutes, even longer during peak hours.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (a tourist from Thanh Hoa) said: "My family left early in the morning but still had to queue for more than an hour before it was my turn to get off the boat. However, I am also very satisfied because of the large number of visitors, but the security and order situation here is still guaranteed. There is no situation of jostling or pushing causing insecurity and disorder.
Mr. Tran Van Hoang (a tourist from Phu Tho) shared: "I have been to Trang An many times, but never have I seen so crowded. Waiting for too long makes young children and many elderly people in the group quite tired. However, after nearly 1 hour, our group also got on the boat to start the sightseeing journey.

Trang An is originally a destination attracting a large number of tourists every holiday and Tet thanks to its cave system, limestone mountains and characteristic river and water scenery. However, the increase in the number of visitors at the same time has created great pressure on service infrastructure, especially the transportation by boat - the main means of sightseeing here.
In the parking area, overloading also occurs when vehicles line up waiting to enter the parking lot. Functional forces and tourist area staff must continuously regulate and guide tourists to move.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the leaders of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex Management Board (under the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism) said that according to preliminary statistics, on February 19 (ie, the 3rd day of Tet), Trang An eco-tourism area welcomed nearly 80,000 visitors.

This is too many visitors in a day, our Management Board has mobilized the maximum number of boats to serve tourists. However, due to ensuring safety regulations, each boat only carries the correct number of passengers according to regulations, so it cannot increase the load suddenly. There are tourists who bought tickets but did not have time to board the boat to visit, we all refund the money" - representative of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex Management Board said.
Also according to the representative of the leadership of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex Management Board, we recommend that tourists should arrange to visit earlier or later than peak hours to avoid waiting for a long time. At the same time, the unit is also researching solutions to divert traffic and sell tickets according to time slots to limit congestion.
